Scoring Explained
You start with 100 points at the beginning of each level.

Every time you unselect a selected square you lose 1 point. If you unselect a group of selected squares then you lose 1 point for each square in the group.

If you do not change any selected squares during a level you will get a perfect score of 100.

You can always retry a level where you did not get a perfect score of 100. To retry a level, touch the level you want to retry on the score card.

How the grid is filled
The words used to fill the grid come from different dictionaries depending on the difficulty level selected.

The Easy difficulty uses a dictionary file with the most common 1000 English words. This allows the grids to be solved by younger children.

The Medium difficulty uses the most common 3000 words for a bit more of a challenge.

The Hard difficulty uses the official Scrabble dictionary (the OSPD) with a lot of stranger words for more of a challenge.

When solving grids the words you enter are checked against the full disctionary so you can use any obscure words if it helps finish your grid.

Secret Tip
Thanks for reading this far. As a reward here is a way you can get extra coins if you run out.

Most games like this out there would ask you to purchase hint coin packs for real world money. Not this app.

If you want an extra 100 hint coins when you get stuck, open the About dialog and click the "About Gridwords" title text 5 times.
